AT LAST! Beyond Good And Evil is now on vinyl! It's the same master as the CD version, but it's not over-amped, so it sounds a bit better on a decent system at high volume (I did a side-by-side test). Don't expect wonders, though. The pressing quality is very good, though. It's worth the cash.
Excellent pressing with top-notch packaging. The gatefold is a classy addition. It's the same production as 2001, but this album is meant to be blasted and it truly shines when you do.
I reckon this is Cult's finest album! Bob Rock is doing a fantastic job.
The 2025 vinyl edition of Beyond Good and Evil showcases The Cult’s often overlooked powerhouse album. While the audio quality stays true to the original CD's compressed and somewhat murky sound, this release compensates in other areas. The gatefold sleeve is excellent, complete with lyrics, and the colored vinyl (red and bottle green) is visually striking. Musically, this album is a monster, diving deep into heavy metal with unbridled energy. Turn up the volume, and that intensity still hits hard.
