With this version, you truly get to experience the brilliance of Dr. Dre. It's like you're right there next to him, feeling every layer as it unfolds. You can almost see the mix board sparking to life. What an incredible RSD drop. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Hoping it hits Tidal soon. 96khz 🤞🏾🙏🏾
I must say, I'm really let down. The sound quality is terribly scratchy, bordering on distorted. I tried tweaking the mixer settings (gain/EQ), but it didn't help at all. It's clearly not my cartridge's fault since other records play just fine. In this state, the record isn't up to par, so I'll be sending it back.
My vinyl copy is filled with pink and purple streaks, which made me worry that the discs were badly damaged when I first opened it. Is this a color variant, or just some messiness from the pressing plant? I really wish they'd stop using those cheap paper inner sleeves for expensive albums like this one. My copy arrived with bad scuffs, scratches on Side B, and was quite dirty right out of the shrink wrap. The sound quality is pretty good, though. I'm not sure how I feel about the music. There are some fantastic tracks, but part of me craves some old-school, simple Dre, and there's hardly any of that here. He's aiming for a very theatrical, epic album, and it sounds like it was a costly project. The list of featured artists is overwhelming.
Audio is absolutely amazing. Crisp, hushed and some serious deep bass…woooo!
