Got it two days back. Already a top pick, the sound quality is incredible
The tunes are absolutely fantastic. It's a pretty demanding record to play. If your stylus and phono preamp don't gel in terms of load/impedance, you might pick up some nasty hiss.
Among the many female singers of jazz classics, this one truly stands out to me. Her voice beautifully complements the superb renditions. Alongside another In+Out standout in terms of audiophile quality, this album is equally impressive. The 'S's can sometimes sound like 'Z's when she sings, and I concur with a prior reviewer that top-notch gear is essential to avoid harshness. The only drawback is the cover art—I often question their choices. It's all subjective, but even Diana Krall has had some questionable cover shoots. But perhaps it's just me. I love that they included a signature, which I truly value. A must-have!
