In my opinion, this is a top-notch pressing. I previously owned a standard reissue, which I sold to get this version, and as soon as I played it, I noticed a huge improvement in sound quality. The sound is incredibly quiet, dynamic, and the discs are flat and glossy. The colors are visually appealing and match the album perfectly. I'm genuinely thrilled to finally have this pressing. If you come across a good deal, I'd highly recommend grabbing it.
My version sounds absolutely amazing, I usually listen to this once a year in its entirety. Bummer to hear about other folks' troubles.
In my opinion, my pressing doesn't sound as poor as others have mentioned, apart from side D which had quite a few pops and crackles. But all in all, it's still a pleasant listening experience.
After a long search, I managed to get my hands on this one. It's a solid press. It's not anything extraordinary since it was just a standard press back then, but it's definitely not a bad one either. My copy was clearly well-loved, but it still sounds fantastic!
This record is in pristine condition, with hardly any surface noise or pops. I gave it an ultrasonic clean before playing it. The sound quality is amazing, with great dynamics and clarity. I'd definitely suggest this to anyone wanting to enjoy this brilliant album. I've got the original CD, and this vinyl version just feels better.
