Product description

This 2023 Reissue 2LP set is pressed on Orange vinyl.

Motörhead, the legendary British rock band, unleashed their seventeenth studio album, "Inferno," on June 22, 2004. This high-octane collection of tracks is a testament to the band's enduring power and influence in the world of heavy metal and hard rock. Recorded at NRG, Paramount, and Maple Studios, and mastered at Capitol Records, "Inferno" is a raw, unfiltered blast of energy that captures Motörhead's signature sound at its finest.

Produced by Cameron Webb, this album marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration that would continue with future releases. With a runtime of just under 48 minutes, "Inferno" packs a punch with 12 tracks that showcase the band's signature blend of speed metal, heavy metal, and hard rock. From the opening riffs of "Terminal Show" to the closing notes of "Whorehouse Blues," each song is a testament to Motörhead's unyielding spirit and musical prowess.

The album features some of the band's most iconic songs, including "Killers," "In the Name of Tragedy," and "Suicide," each offering a unique take on the themes of rebellion, defiance, and the human condition. The raw, gritty production and Lemmy's unmistakable vocals bring an intensity to the album that is unparalleled. The album's cover art, featuring a striking image of a burning figure, perfectly encapsulates the fiery spirit of the music within.

"Inferno" is a powerful addition to Motörhead's discography, showcasing the band's ability to create music that is both timeless and timelessly relevant. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to the world of Motörhead, this album is sure to leave a lasting impression. So, crank up the volume and let the unbridled energy of "Inferno" take over.

  • Motörhead's Finest Post-80s Album

    4 out of 5 stars
    VBhufriAugust 8, 2025United States🇺🇸

In my opinion, this stands out as the finest among Motörhead's newer (post-80s) releases. It's not innovative or revolutionary, but that's typical for them. Lemmy marched to the beat of his own drum, unconcerned with others' opinions, and that's precisely why he had so many fans. The sound quality is excellent, and the vinyl is top-notch with minimal noise. The entire album is fantastic, though "Whorehouse Blues" is an absolute standout.

  • Motorhead's Best Vinyl Sound

    5 out of 5 stars
    MLcaprvohicApril 20, 2025United States🇺🇸

This album is fantastic, and the pressing is top-notch. I'm no audiophile, but this might just be the best Motorhead has ever sounded on vinyl. The way 'Whorehouse Blues' wraps up the album is an absolute gem, making this already intense record even more enjoyable.

  • CD Release Flawed Track

    1 out of 5 stars
    NafytJisrbZtuxujMay 3, 2024United States🇺🇸

This re-release on CD has a major flaw on track 4, Suicide. I've listened to it on two separate copies, and the issue is in the same spot both times. I'm aware that more of these were sent out with the same problem, as even the digital versions have the skip. I own the German 2005 version, and it plays perfectly. It's disappointing that the label allowed this inferior product to be released with such a terrible skip on the track.

Known for their raw, high-energy performances and Lemmy's distinctive growl, Motörhead is often hailed as a pioneer of the new wave of British heavy metal, revitalizing the genre in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
