Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
No sibilance on my copy, and I donβt feel it sounds compressed. I would be interested to hear the 2017 remaster but this is a great album and the extra tracks included on this which are not on the 2017 are a bonus.
Definitely more dynamic than the original CD release. Side D is also a nice addition with 3 great bonus tracks!
As expected by a release of KScope/PT/Steven Wilson, this pressing is quiet, with superb dynamics and punchy bass.Nothing to complain about and much to congratulate in this pressing. The only thing that surprised me is that this release comes with paper sleeves (the regular ones instead of the poly bags) and this is not exactly clear vinyl; it is more opaque.Rest assured, it doesn't disappoint.
I have developed a whole new application for Lightbulb Sun listening to it from front to back on vinyl.
Both discs of my copy are slightly warped, and there is a significant amount of noise on the last half of side A and the very end of side C, other than that it's an enjoyable listen, the remastering was nicely done
