Yet another fantastic original pressing by Talking Heads. Unfortunately, my copy has a small flaw, like a little dent, that leads to a brief drop in sound quality, but it doesn't detract too much from this amazing record.
Wow, this band was truly unique. A breath of fresh air even back then, over 30 years ago. The vinyl pressing sounds fantastic. I reckon they're using the original molds. Highly recommend it!
It's awesome to have this new pressing. The sound quality is top-notch - no nonsense here. The artwork seems to be direct scans from an original copy but is done pretty well. The paper inner sleeve had a fair amount of debris on mine, even some colored wax bits from other records made at the factory, funny enough. Little Creatures is honestly one of my top Talking Heads albums - beyond the well-known tracks, Stay Up Late, Television Man, and Perfect World are amazing songs. On my wish list: I would've loved to see this as a double LP set with the remixes included on the second disc - And She Was, Television Man, and The Lady Don't Mind all had extended mixes, plus there were different versions of And She Was and Road To Nowhere that could've filled up another LP.
Every Talking Heads album I own sounds fantastic, but this one? Unbelievable. Right from that initial snare crack on 'And She Was,' it bursts out of the speakers with incredible clarity of every voice and instrument. It's way better than any digital copy you might come across. This Specialty pressing is how it's supposed to be done!
My record is super silent. It's one of the quietest versions I own. Hooray.
