I'm on the fence about this one. The voices in the soundstage let me down, but the rest was top-notch. It's a fantastic pressing, but the mixing for imaging/soundstage left me wanting more. By the way, I thought the movie of this concert in Mexico City was amazing, definitely worth a watch.
This vinyl release isn't up to par, the live tracks' mix is off - whatever mix they used for this release just isn't right - the vocals are way too loud and unpolished, the drums are way too prominent in the mix - some tracks are so muddled, you can't even hear the keyboard parts - the audience sounds are barely there. Comparing it to the audio mix from the bluray concert - that's how it should sound on this vinyl, properly balanced. It feels like they made a mistake with this one.
Incredible show, amazing performance and top-notch pressings. Super crisp and rich sound with really dynamic and detailed music presentation. Would definitely recommend to all!!!!
While some people might grumble about the 4 songs per side on this Vinyl, they really nailed it. This live album is fantastic, and live albums aren't usually my thing.
Although the cost was quite high, I was initially concerned about the quality of the pressing. The 'Made in the EU' label usually suggests to me that the record was pressed at GZ Media, which has been responsible for some of the poorest pressings in my collection. However, this release is exceptional; the record is completely silent and, as "U00229" puts it, rich, open, and perfectly balanced. Highly recommended!
