Bucko73" is way off the mark! Ha! This version of the record is top-notch. I've owned it on CD and even cassette way back when it first dropped. It's one of my all-time favorite Aerosmith albums. And let me tell ya, it sounds incredible! The bass is rich and powerful, the mids and highs are spot on, and the sound stage is wide open. Honestly, there's not a single thing to gripe about with this pressing. If you're considering it... just go for it! You won't be let down.
Baffled by the low ratings, sonically it's typical for the genre, compression is on point, mix is solid, sounds fantastic, at least 4 stars, I gave it five to boost the score to a fair 4, which I believe is the true score for this album. This was among my first CDs as a preteen, found it in a dusty old record store and loved playing it.
Incredible. Didn't think it would sound this impressive, as the original always seemed a bit weak to me. I can now clearly pick up the bass line and its tone. Instruments are distinctly separated. Absolutely adore this album, packed with fantastic tracks, definitely one of their best. The copy I've got sounds incredible, mix and master are top-notch, so much detail and dynamism, and the pressing is really solid too, barely any surface noise.
In my opinion, this is Aerosmith's finest album to date. I've played my CD copy around 200 times, easy.
