Product description

This 2025 Limited Edition Reissue 15th Anniversary Edition 2LP set is pressed on Red vinyl.

Dive into the vibrant and eclectic world of Caribou with "Swim," the fifth studio album from Canadian musician Dan Snaith, released under his renowned moniker. Released on April 20, 2010, via City Slang and Merge, "Swim" marks a significant shift in Snaith's musical direction, moving away from his previous psychedelic pop sound and delving deeper into the realms of dance and electronic music. The album seamlessly blends cerebral electronic tracks with more danceable beats, creating a unique and captivating listening experience. With a runtime of just over 43 minutes, "Swim" features nine tracks that showcase Snaith's versatility and innovation. From the deep, funky grooves of "Odessa" to the jazzy syncopation of "Sun," each song offers a distinct flavor while maintaining a cohesive and immersive atmosphere. The album's production and design are equally impressive, with contributions from notable figures such as George Graves on mastering and Jason Evans on art direction. "Swim" is a testament to Dan Snaith's artistic evolution and his ability to push the boundaries of electronic music, making it a standout release in his discography.

How do we keep reviews authentic?

Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

  • Album Quality Impressive, Booklet Disappointing

This album is fantastic, I must say. I decided to purchase this copy after reading SonofGalahad's review and since I was already ordering something else to ship from Europe. The sound quality is amazing and I appreciate that the inner sleeves are lined with plastic (I'm not a fan of those flimsy paper ones). However, the CD booklet is quite disappointing. It's surprising that they couldn't get artwork that would work well for a 12"x12" booklet.

  • Enjoyable Album with Great Sound

This album is absolutely one of my top picks for listening pleasure. I'll admit, the pacing initially catches me off guard, but once I get into it, it's all good. My personal copy sounds crisp, has great range, and brings me so much joy. Give a spin to side D at 33RPM like another user suggested.

I've got a soft pressing here that sounds real nice to me.

  • Sound Quality Delight, Damaged Arrival

Absolutely love the sound quality, it's even better than the US 45. I know, shocking right? Unfortunately, both copies I got arrived damaged (the records themselves are fine though). A bit disappointed, especially since they were the last two available and I haven't seen any others online that aren't being resold. But hey, I'm still stoked to have it!
