  • Enjoyable Album Despite Criticism

I really enjoy this album - it's packed with awesome tracks and fantastic music. The critics in Denmark didn't seem to like it much, but I think it's fantastic

  • Vinyl Transforms Killers Album

    4 out of 5 stars
    nlfmcn21 August 2025United States🇺🇸

I'd call myself a huge Killers enthusiast. Hot Fuss, in my opinion, was an outstanding pop album from the 2000s. When I first heard "Human," I was convinced that the Killers had peaked, their creativity had dried up, and the spark was gone, and they'd never match the brilliance of Hot Fuss. The CD version of this album just didn't resonate with me. But years later, I stumbled upon a vinyl copy on eBay. I was absolutely blown away by this pressing. I couldn't believe my ears, it was like hearing a brand new album. The sound quality and richness are truly remarkable, so if you're unsure about buying the vinyl: JUST DO IT. You won't regret it…I can't express how much I disliked this album, but after hearing it on vinyl…wow. 5/5

  • Nostalgic Vinyl Worth Moderate Cost

    4 out of 5 stars
    Vaqdnb7193 August 2025United States🇺🇸

I bought this album because it's one of my top picks from the 2000s. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of sound quality, as music from this genre can vary greatly on vinyl – sometimes it's amazing, other times it can sound quite artificial. The vinyl itself was in good condition, with no issues regarding noise or surface defects. The music did seem to have a bit more depth. But I think that's more to do with the mixing and mastering, which gives it a very digital feel. The vinyl version only adds about 10% more life compared to streaming. I'd only recommend it if you're buying it for nostalgic reasons. The album is enjoyable and makes up for the lack of musicality. But I paid around $22 new at my HiFi shop, so if I had paid more than $30, I would have been more disappointed.

  • Mastered Capitol Vinyl Review

    3 out of 5 stars
    senvtdom7 March 2025United States🇺🇸

Bought this one today, and it's currently playing. The deadwax mentions "Mastered by Capitol", which makes me think they probably used the CD versions for this release. The highs are turned up way too much, and the cymbals sound squashed. It's almost painfully sharp when you crank up the volume. That said, there's a fair bit of room in the soundstage, and it's not awful by any means. It's not the finest pressing I've come across, but you could definitely find worse out there. Plus, the packaging is spot-on with the original, so you get the insert, that massive poster, and a hefty 180g vinyl.

  • Audiophile's Dream Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    Tokhw239 October 2024United States🇺🇸

Holy cow, this pressing is an audiophile's dream come true. It's tough to think the new repress could match up to this one. The packaging, inner sleeves, posters, you name it, are all top-quality. There's so much to appreciate about this release. Snag it if you have the chance.
