  • Barry Manilow's Rise to Fame

    5 out of 5 stars
    nurysa_5418 January 2025United States🇺🇸

Barry Manilow came into the world in 1946 in Brooklyn. His remarkable musical talents were evident from a young age: by seven, he was mastering the accordion, and at thirteen, after teaching himself the piano, he started accompanying Broadway performers. He later went to the Juilliard School in New York, studied at a music academy, was part of a vocal duo for a time, and then began his journey as a pianist. During one of his shows, he crossed paths with singer Bette Midler and soon became her musical partner. In 1973, while touring America with Bette Midler, he took the stage as a singer for the first time at one of her concerts and was met with great applause. Barry Manilow's debut long-playing album hit the shelves in 1974, and by 1975, he had risen to become one of the top pop singers in the USA.

  • Barry's Deep Cuts Shine

Barry's at his absolute finest! This underappreciated gem is packed with some truly amazing deep cuts. The singles are fantastic, but it's the non-singles that really shine for me, some of Barry's career highlights!
