This is a great pressing, Xtra usually delivers quality and it's evident in this one.
This Dolphy album is my top pick, it's way more experimental then the others. The cover art really captures what the album is all about.
This remaster and vinyl pressing sounds incredible, much like the majority of Analogue Production's releases. The music is incredibly daring, marking a fresh start for Jazz in a new decade. Dolphy showcases his versatility on various instruments as usual, but Carter's cello playing is truly a revelation here. It's absolutely mind-blowing! Pressing ***** Music *****
It seems like the folks at DOL who put together the disk got mixed up with various sessions. This really speaks volumes about the quality of their reissues! 😡
The audio quality is fantastic! The record plays smoothly and the sound has a lot of energy. I'm not certain about the source, but I'd still highly recommend it.
