In my opinion, this is one of the rare Umiliani records that I find quite challenging to enjoy, to be honest. I'd go as far as to say it's almost unlistenable—repetitive, lacking creativity, and feeling rather dated. That's precisely why I've never been able to justify spending so much on an original copy. I'm quite satisfied with the reissue, and the fact that it seems no one's bought one since 2020 makes me think I'm not alone in this sentiment. 🙂 However, I must acknowledge that this album wasn't designed for repeated listening. It's a concept piece showcasing what can be achieved with a synthi, and in that regard, it succeeds brilliantly. Nothing more was intended.
Side B's ending has some fuzziness. 3 stars. What a bummer.
