Alongside OK Computer, this stands as my top Radiohead album. I lean towards their earlier, more direct sound, even though it's not exactly simple. Often mistaken for brit pop, it's anything but. Every track here is either good or fantastic. A band truly meant for greatness.
I'm fond of this pressing, though it's quite heavily wrapped. I'd be keen to purchase a new one from this press or the original Parlophone pressing. (I'm likely to grab one with the original's metalworks)
This album's got incredible tracks, like 'my iron lung' – I'm really into it!
Frankly, it comes across as a tad over-produced. The guitar and vocals are spot on, but the bass and drums feel slightly off or buried. It's alright for now, but I'm on the hunt for something more fitting!
This copy is phenomenal. It's how the record was meant to be heard. My 2008 Capitol version can't even compare to this one. The dynamics and instrument separation are so much better.
