The audio quality is excellent. The disc is smooth and functions perfectly, just as expected!
On Aug19, I must confess, when I spotted 'power metal', my hopes weren't high for this album. However, I noticed each track was centered around WWI, and coincidentally, I'm currently teaching that topic. Plus, there's a version of the album featuring historical intros to the songs. So, I stuck around for the lyrics and the history lesson, but I also genuinely enjoyed many of the songs. The riffs are strong, with no over-the-top solos, and the vocals are decent, avoiding that drawn-out last syllable habit many power and classic metal singers have. Plus, none of the songs overstay their welcome. No standout favorites on first listen, as the album was consistently good. I'll absolutely give it more spins. 3.5/5
Honestly, this album is an absolute auditory delight, but I must admit, I'm a tad let down considering the cost. The vinyl arrived bent right out of the packaging, and it feels incredibly flimsy. Despite that, the music is phenomenal and the audio quality is top-notch, which somewhat makes up for the poor physical condition. I'd give it 5 stars for the sound, but only 3 for the warping and overall build quality.
