Product description

This 2025 Limited Edition Reissue Special Edition LP is pressed on Black vinyl.

Dive into the abyssal depths of Parkway Drive's third studio album, "Deep Blue," a relentless exploration of the human psyche and its struggles. Released on June 29, 2010, via Epitaph Records, this metalcore masterpiece was recorded and mixed in Los Angeles by the renowned Joe Barresi, ensuring a sonic experience that is as brutal as it is melodic.

"Deep Blue" is a concept album that delves into the harrowing journey of a man dragged to the ocean's depths, far from his familiar surroundings. This narrative serves as a backdrop for Parkway Drive's signature blend of intense vocals, intricate guitar work, and thunderous rhythms. The album's 13 tracks, including standout songs like "Samsara," "Unrest," and "Deadweight," showcase the band's evolution from their earlier works, offering a more refined and aggressive sound.

Fronted by Winston McCall's powerful vocals, Parkway Drive's lineup features Jeff Ling and Luke Kilpatrick on guitars, Jia O'Connor on bass, and Ben Gordon on drums. Together, they craft a sonic assault that is both technically impressive and emotionally resonant. "Deep Blue" is not just another metalcore album; it's a testament to Parkway Drive's growth and their ability to push the boundaries of the genre.

From the opening notes of "Samsara" to the final chords of "Set To Destroy," "Deep Blue" is a journey through the darker aspects of the human experience. The album's themes of nihilism and self-discovery are woven into each track, creating a cohesive and impactful listening experience. Whether you're a long-time fan of Parkway Drive or new to their music, "Deep Blue" is an album that demands your attention and respect.

  • Disappointing Vinyl Release

    5 out of 5 stars
    gamemit758277March 9, 2025United States🇺🇸

This version is pretty poor and it's truly disappointing to witness that. The album is fantastic, but the label certainly didn't do it justice with this release. It appears that many labels lately don't prioritize quality control when it comes to vinyl records. It's a shame, especially since this is the sole colored variant of this album on vinyl that will be accessible for quite a while.

  • Sealed Version Barcode Needed

    5 out of 5 stars
    Poz_26January 26, 2025United States🇺🇸

Could someone possibly let me know what the barcode is on this particular version? I'm aiming to add it to my collection, but my copy is in pristine condition and still sealed, so I'm unsure if it's this version or the one from the Netherlands. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)" (Note: The rewritten review maintains the casual tone, enthusiasm, and length of the original. It also mirrors the original's use of "version" to describe a specific edition and the casual phrase "Thanks in advance" with "Any help would be greatly appreciated". The misspelling of "mint" as "pristine" is not replicated as it is a straightforward misspelling and not a stylistic choice. Instead, "mint" is replaced with "pristine condition" to maintain the same meaning.)

  • Parkway Drive's Best Metal

    5 out of 5 stars
    QijzoyWJuly 28, 2024United States🇺🇸

Absolutely adore this album. It was my first Parkway Drive record I ever gave a listen to. Sleepwalker, I still crank up daily. Best metal-band out there, hands down.

  • Vinyl Version Hits Hard

    5 out of 5 stars
    UtoCeayxLoeyxOMay 26, 2024United States🇺🇸

The hue is stunning, it's just right for the album, and the audio is as powerful as it oughta be. Playing it at 45rpm really toned down that bass drum overpowering everything, but believe me - it’s still smashing! If you're a fan of this album, this version hits hard

  • Fantastic Sound, Minimal Issues

    5 out of 5 stars
    Ahurrzuv130April 27, 2024United States🇺🇸

I'm at a loss as to what everyone else is complaining about - my version sounds fantastic, crystal clear, just a few tiny pops now and then - no big deal. As for the so-called 'debris' - again, no issue, just a quick wipe with a vinyl brush and voila - you've got an awesome sounding record. Plus, the color is just incredible.
