Absolutely the most underrated Tone Poet. They're practically giving them away, yet it's far from the weakest musically. Truth is, it's really quite good. Even if not the top musically, sound quality-wise, it's surely up there with the best TPs. It sounds amazing! I do wish RVG could've done a tad more with the piano, considering who was leading the session, but the horns sound fantastic.
I had no clue Woody Shaw was featured on this album. What a fantastic surprise!
Possibly the finest Tone Poet outing yet - an utterly breathtaking album with a crispness and spatial presentation that truly honors it.
Amazing new product. Soundstage is out of this world. So quiet. Absolutely a must-have.
Tone Poet scores again with this fantastic album. Wayne Shorter's brilliant solos and Ron Carter's cello work are just a couple of the standout moments in this incredible set of tracks.
