  • Solid Choice, Great Pressing

For sure not the cream of the crop in their catalog, but still pretty solid. I reckon it's even better than the other one. I was torn between the two for my vinyl purchase, and I'm glad I went with this one. The pressing is top-notch, no hiss or pops on my copy. The album art is pretty cool too. 👊🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

  • Solid Pick, Worth It

Can't say it's their best, but it's pretty darn good. I reckon the harder stuff is better anyway. Was torn between this and another for my vinyl buy, and I'm glad I went with this one. The pressing is solid, no hiss on my copy. The album art is pretty cool too. 👊🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

  • The Who by Numbers: A Solid Album

    4 out of 5 stars
    FrZihaoNovember 10, 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

In my opinion, the album that reminds me most of FACE DANCES within The Who's discography is THE WHO BY NUMBERS. It might not be a masterpiece, but it certainly has some standout tracks, such as "Another Tricky Day", "How Can You Do It Alone", "Did You Steal My Money" and "You Better You Bet". John Entwistle's "The Quiet One" is a particular gem, and the most rowdily rocking song on the entire album. The sound quality of this pressing is impressive, with a solid low end, vocals and guitars that are sharp and distinct, and a well-rounded soundstage. My copy plays smoothly, with no detectable surface noise.

  • FACE DANCES: A Solid, Energetic Album

In my opinion, the album that bears the closest resemblance to FACE DANCES within The Who's discography is THE WHO BY NUMBERS. It might not be considered a masterpiece, but it certainly boasts some standout tracks, such as "Another Tricky Day", "How Can You Do It Alone", "Did You Steal My Money" and "You Better You Bet". John Entwistle's contribution, "The Quiet One", is a standout, and arguably the most energetic rock song on the entire album. The sound quality of this pressing is excellent, with a solid bass response, and the vocals and guitars are sharp and distinct, creating a well-rounded sound. My copy plays smoothly, with no detectable surface noise.

  • Classic Who Reissue Excellence

    5 out of 5 stars
    qemzdnezJune 29, 2025United States🇺🇸

Among the finest reissues from the MFSL era of the 80s that I've encountered. The entirely analog process, featuring a masterfully done half-speed mastering, combined with the excellent quiet Japanese vinyl and pressing, delivers an exceptional listening experience. It's still a great value for money, making it well worth every cent. You might not be keen on the newer MoFi releases, but don't overlook the classic ones. This is a must-have for any audiophile's collection of The Who's work.
