Great clean pressing, it's lacking some instrument seperation, punch and the sizzle of the original but for the price it's an awesome buy and a no-brainer...just get it
This pressing sounds fantastic, except for Kate's vocals, which can be a bit harsh at times. Taking out Rolf Harris' part was a wise move. Who'd want a total jerk on their album?
Gorgeous, no surface noise, excellent pressing. Likely my top KB album ever, made even better by the absence of the little fiddler kid this time.
I first bought the colored indie version of this album. Unfortunately, that one was packed with pops and hissing sounds because of the metal pressing. Avoid that version at all costs. Look at the other reviews, as many people found it unlistenable due to those problems. I'm thrilled to report that this pressing is fantastic and definitely worth the price. The mastering is gorgeous, with a wide range of dynamics and rich bass tones. It plays completely silent with no surface noise. This might be the best reissue I've heard from her collection. The packaging feels high-end because of its heft and the glossy sleeve. I'm so happy I got this to replace the indie pressing.
what's the deal with "painter's link"? is that a totally different voice?
