  • Improved Sound Quality

    5 out of 5 stars
    voli_penwev3 December 2025United States🇺🇸

This version is a significant improvement over the 2023 repress (https://www.discogs.com/release/27654207-Sufjan-Stevens-The-Age-Of-Adz). There's way less surface noise, and the sound is much richer.

  • Surface Noise and Poor Mastering

    4 out of 5 stars
    piwe_jigxuw25 November 2025United States🇺🇸

I recently acquired this particular pressing. It's not the loudest record in my collection, but the quieter tracks like "Futile Devices" and "Vesuvius" have quite a bit of noticeable surface noise. This is after giving it a couple of spin-cleans. And to be truthful, the mastering doesn't seem all that great either.

  • Audio Quality Impressive

    5 out of 5 stars
    kixegtipuawtil5 November 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

The audio quality is fantastic, no interruptions or jumps, even during the softer sections.

  • Disappointing Surface Noise

    1 out of 5 stars
    taedmipradtf20 October 2025United States🇺🇸

Oh man, my copy is sounding really awful, there's like non-stop loud surface noise that wouldn't go away even after I cleaned it properly. I'm requesting a replacement but it seems like a pressing issue so I'm not really optimistic.

  • Side D Fixed

    5 out of 5 stars
    Wumoze_Fipaxa27 September 2025United States🇺🇸

Sounds amazing for the first three sides, but side D is super noisy all the way through. Update: Got a fresh copy straight from the label, plays perfectly now.
