I've got another issue with Lightning Crashes. The sound quality is terrible, but the other tracks on the album are pretty good.
OMG, that's all I've got. This record is definitely top 5 in my collection. The vinyl was a bit dusty, but I wiped it down before playing. It's super flat and quiet (I didn't notice what others were saying about 'Lightning Crashes'). As for the sound... This is the kind of record you'd use to prove 'why vinyl sounds better.' The mix is incredible with awesome dynamics!
I was unsure about the negative reviews mentioned earlier, but this is incredibly quiet and full of energy. I don't have any other versions to compare it to, but it's way better than my old CD.
I wouldn't have bought this 25th anniversary colored edition if I already had a prior vinyl release, and I'm glad I didn't. This pressing is absolutely amazing, and the colored vinyl is fantastic, even if the green isn't olive. Maybe this record will become valuable someday, but who's concerned? This is a legendary album and possibly one of the greatest from the early '90s grunge scene. Grab it on color or black. Throwing Copper belongs in every grunge collection, and this 25th anniversary version is flawless.
