I'm at a loss as to why this album is so expensive and hard to find these days, but I somehow managed to grab a copy for just $26. Let me tell you, this has to be one of the best sounding records in my entire collection - the bass is incredibly deep and punchy, and the mids and highs are clear and detailed, without being too harsh. Chino's vocals really stand out against the rich instrumentation, and I was honestly amazed after only ever hearing this on mp3 before.
I'm always amazed when I see folks attempting to sell a vinyl for over $60 when you can still grab it straight from the source (like hottopic.com) for just $25. Why not hold off on the price hike till they're completely out of stock?
The 2020 re-release has impressive sound quality, but this version is absolutely amazing! It's Deftones' second best work, right after 'Saturday Night Wrist'.
